It’s National Volunteer Week and we’d thought we’d pause to thank all the volunteers who have contributed to CanadaGenWeb’s Cemetery Project. This project, which is run entirely by volunteers, would not be able to offer a cemetery directory, transcripts, indexes and photos without their commitment and support. Thank you to each and every volunteer who has contributed their time and knowledge to aid the genealogical community, it is because of your generosity that this project exists!
“Our group isn’t what most people think of when they think of volunteers, but we are proof that a bunch of people working together can make huge things happen!” – Volunteer Kate Ford
Over the years we’ve been blessed with the support of some extra special volunteers, those who have gone above and beyond to catalogue their local – and sometimes not so local – cemeteries and to index, transcribe and translate some very difficult to read stones. They include: Julia Adamson, Carol Ann Best, Kim Brant, Bonnie Lee Breadner, Pete Carell, Lezlie Carson, William Cooke, Cathy Coss, Linda Doran, Lorna Eggert, Alan L. & Norma Falconer, Marilyn Smith Favaro, George Fedyck, Kate Ford, Doug & Donna Gammon, Bob Garant, Patricia Green, Brad Kehler, Cheyenne Kepke, Joanne Krywko, Lynn Lourenco, Debra Mann, Sharon Mattiuz, Dorothy Mead, Larry Miller, Alison Mitchell-Reid, Annette Bame Peebles, Catherine Reiss, Albert Riezebos, Nancy Ross-Hill, Gary Schumacher, Maggie Sim, Bruce Norman Smith, Doug Smith, Ken Stephenson, Andrew Stillman, Marilyn Whiting.
THANK YOU!!!!
